Scholarship Schemes

RGSIOP encourages meritorious and economically weaker students by facilitating various government scholarship schemes. Students are guided to apply through the official MahaDBT portal.

Government of Maharashtra — EBC Scholarship

For students from Economically Backward Classes (EBC) with family income below the prescribed limit. Covers tuition fees partially.

Eligibility: Annual family income below ₹8 Lakh. Maharashtra domicile required.

OBC / VJNT / SBC Scholarship

Post-matric scholarship for students belonging to OBC, VJNT, and SBC categories from Maharashtra.

Eligibility: Valid caste certificate required. Maharashtra domicile required.

SC / ST Scholarship

Post-matric scholarship for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students. Covers tuition fees and maintenance allowance.

Eligibility: Valid SC/ST caste certificate. Maharashtra domicile required.

Minority Scholarship

For students belonging to minority communities (Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Sikh, Parsi, Jain) with merit and means criteria.

Eligibility: Minority community certificate. Annual family income below ₹2 Lakh.

Central Sector Scholarship

Scholarship by the Ministry of Education, Government of India for meritorious students from non-creamy layer families.

Eligibility: Top 20 percentile in Class 12. Annual family income below ₹8 Lakh.

Freeship Card (Tuition Fee Waiver)

Students from reserved categories can avail full tuition fee waiver through the Freeship Card scheme of Maharashtra.

Eligibility: Reserved category students with valid caste certificate and income certificate.

How to Apply

All scholarship applications are processed through the MahaDBT Portal. Students must register on the portal, fill in the required details, and upload the necessary documents before the deadline. The institute's scholarship cell assists students throughout the process.
